ABOUT US
Joe Killefer has over 20 years of experience of in real estate development, working in various capacities across several asset types. Most recently, Joe was a principal at Axis Partners, a boutique investment firm focused on industrial outdoor storage properties. He was responsible for the firm’s capital improvement implementation across the country. In addition, he oversaw Axis’ first ground-up development project, a 216,000 SF distribution facility in Laredo Texas.
Prior to Axis, Joe was a general partner in the development team that built The Roy at Overland and The Jagger, two mixed-use projects in the Culver City sub-market. He oversaw all phases of each project, from due-diligence through entitlements, construction, and lease-up. Joe has also developed Mar Vista Four, and 8 East Homes, two successful for-sale townhome projects acting as developer and general contractor. He has also worked as a construction manager on behalf of non-profit affordable housing developers in Downtown Los Angeles on The Star Apartments, New Pershing Apartments, and King 1101 Apartments.
Joe has a deep understanding of the development process and valuable trade partner relationships. He holds a bachelors degree from Dartmouth College and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two young children.
